As a trained counselor and intuitive, I use psychological and spiritual astrology to aid the process of self-understanding and growth. I encourage my clients to understand their family of origin influences, their traits, needs and life lessons, their personal and relationship patterns, and their life direction, to help promote healing, integration and self-actualization. I consider myself a guide during periods of transition and transformation, offering greater clarity and confirmation. It is my intention to help impart meaning to your experiences, and to support you on your journey to Self-empowerment.
Some Background Information:
I have over 25 years experience as a consulting astrologer, personal growth and relationship counselor, group facilitator, and teacher. My passion for astrology began at a very young age. I was 12 years old and on a shopping errand for my mother when I came across a small brochure on astrology at the checkout counter of my local supermarket. I picked up the booklet and knew immediately that this was a very familiar and intriguing subject. This "knowing" became the seed point for years of further study and exploration, a journey that quickly branched out into other, related areas of interest.
These interests, and the studies that they have generated, include philosophy, psychology, metaphysics, comparative religions, mythology and ancient wisdom traditions, as well as history, art history, literature, and politics. I received counselor training at an institute in Montreal, Canada, where I was born. I began a counseling practice, and I also opened and ran a holistic health center, Terre Etoile (Earth Star), in that city.
I recently moved back East, after living for 24 years on Vancouver Island, British Colombia. While there I raised two wonderful children as a single parent, and developed my counseling and astrology practice. I also became a freelance writer and editor, a certified group facilitator, learned how to fly airplanes, and discovered a passion for gardening. I obtained my Master's degree in history from the University of Victoria, and I have taught academic courses, as well as classes and workshops on astrology, meditation and creativity.
Throughout all these experiences, helping others gain deeper understanding about themselves and their lives has remained a constant passion. And astrology, whose wisdom and insights I love to share, has proven itself an invaluable aid in achieving these ends.
